Wearable pieces shaped by hand, allowing sterling silver and raw gold to flow together in asymmetric, organic forms. Flaws are not hidden but held as a record of time and touch.

Interested in something made just for you? Alongside one of one pieces, I occasionally take on bespoke commissions. Whether it's a different size or an entirely new design, each commission is shaped through conversation and my own making process.
Jewellery is meant to be lived in. Your piece will evolve with wear, picking up subtle changes that reflect its journey. That's part of what makes it yours. A gentle clean with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush will keep it looking its best. Remove before swimming or using strong chemicals.
Every piece is carefully wrapped and presented in our signature packaging. Crafted to feel as considered as the jewellery itself.
Every ILYA piece comes with lifetime aftercare. Complimentary polishing, repairs and minor adjustments are offered for the life of the piece, with the buyer covering postage. ILYA creates one-of-one jewellery from a small studio in the Kent countryside.
For the past four years I've been working towards a way of making that felt true to me. A lot of it has come from learning, experimenting and slowly figuring out what I wanted the work to become.
Wabi-sabi is a big part of how I see things. To me, it isn't a style or a set of rules. It's a way of life and a way of looking at the world. I like things that are simple, imperfect, weathered and allowed to change with time.
I've always been drawn to old jewellery, worn objects, natural forms and things that feel like they have a history. That naturally found its way into the work.
A big part of ILYA is the use of mixed metals, particularly silver and gold. Through experimenting with different ways of making, I've developed my own way of bringing these metals together within a piece. The idea is influenced by Kintsugi, where the joining of different materials becomes part of the object rather than something to hide.
Everything is made by hand in my studio in Kent, using traditional tools and old techniques, particularly when it comes to carving and casting. I enjoy working in a way that hasn't changed much over time. There is something about using your hands and simple tools that makes the finished piece feel connected to how it was made.
I don't want the process to be rushed. These pieces take time to carve, cast, shape and finish, and I let the work develop slowly rather than trying to make everything perfectly resolved from the start.
I make each piece myself, and want the relationship between the different metals to be part of the design rather than simply adding gold or silver as decoration.
I want to make jewellery that feels honest and has its own character. Something that can be worn, marked and changed over time rather than kept looking untouched.
